The founder of the Pool Renovators, Fibreglass Pool Lining (Pty) Ltd, Mr Volker Wilde, born in Berlin, Germany, immigrated in 1975 together with his family to South Africa.With him he brought his long experience and latest technology in industrial fibreglass lining of chemical tanks for mining companies and acid resistant tanks for chemical plants.After researching the market, he founded a company to produce fibreglass industrial products, mainly fibreglass reinforced pipes, acid resistant tanks and fibreglass lining of dams.

Due to ever increasing demand for the products, the company gained respect and success. At this stage no plans existed to break into the domestic pool renovation market.Many unsuccessful attempts to have swimming pools repaired made good friends approach him to find a permanent answer to their problems.
