Many solid wood deck owners cringe at the thought of maintaining their decks, the arduous task of sanding and/or sealing twice a year is a costly and laborious task, very often this annual task is neglected resulting in premature decay of wood and a huge eye sore around pools or outdoor entertainment areas. With EcoWood decking the only maintenance required is a good hosing down due to our composite of 50% PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and 50% Pine wood chip, making it an environmentally friendly decking choice. The industry seems to be moving away from polyethylene-based products to focus on polyvinyl chloride which is typically stronger and less susceptible to expansion and compression.
EcoWood decking also comprises of Titanium Dioxide which reduces the Ultra Violet damage to decking, typically the rays only penetrate the decking up to 100 microns, and thus very limited fading occurs in the first three weeks, the unique wood grain is achieved by double brushing the decking after the cooling down process, thereby alleviating excessive fading. Our decking is currently available in five popular colours. Traditional wood colours include Rhodesian Teak (Sahara), Kiaat (Rocky) and Meranti (Savannah), more modern colours, to complement the estate lifestyle are available in light grey (Riverine) and dark grey (Coastal). The latter being very popular with architects and landscapers alike. EcoWood is also a GAP product (Green Architectural Product).
EcoWood composite decking is proudly produced locally, therefore our decking does not only stand up to our oppositions prices but also competes favourably with solid wood decking. Explore your options with our low maintenance, high performance
