Bou-Hardi (Pty) Ltd of Moorreesburg, in the Western Cape, a family venture originally known as JA Truter (Pty) Ltd, established in 1963.

Jan Truter, who was the sole proprietor of JA Truter (Pty) Ltd, successfully completed various large projects in the Western Cape. Amongst them were School and Post Office buildings for the Cape Provincial Administration, Bank and Church buildings for the private sector, as well as various private dwellings.

He’s renown management style was characterised by personal involvement, good communication, as well as thorough and timeous project completion.

Erik Truter joined JA Truter (Pty) Ltd in 1981 and was followed by Jaco Truter in 1983. The two sons took charge of the business on 25 October 1994, after the passing of the late Jan Truter.

Since 1996, Jaco and Eric Truter are both directors of Bou-Hardi (Pty) Ltd.
